Scala is a stunningly modern addition to the prestigious Bayview Village Neibourhood. This beautiful staircase building both blends in and stands out from the lush greenery of North York.

The unique shape of this building creates a huge amount of outdoor terrace space for the residents. However this also created some difficulties in the design of the HVAC system. Due to the constant change of footprint, the HVAC piping had many offsets to overcome. Our solution was to use a VRF system due to its relative small line size compared to the typical water sourced systems. This dramatically reduce ceiling space required and allowed for clean and expansive ceilings in the premium terrace suites.
